We recently hired Tahoe Moving and Storage to move our commercial shop space from Truckee down to Reno. Exceptional customer service every step of the way from scheduling appointment, to getting a rough estimate of cost, to final move day. Day of appointment, movers arrived right at the start of their arrival window, took the time to let us show them exactly what we wanted moved, and what was staying in our garage. Then they got to work right away and moved extremely efficiently as a two man team. They also took the time to wrap delicate items like the turntable plate in our microwave, and my computer monitor. Something I would not have done if I had rented a U-Haul and done it myself. I highly recommend Tahoe Moving and Storage for anyone looking for a moving company.

How Mobile Storage Works

Mobile storage consists of four steps: delivery, loading, storage, and return. We deliver the portable storage container to your driveway or job site and set it at ground level. You load it at your own pace, over hours or over weeks, or our packing and unpacking service handles the loading for you. When you are finished, we either leave the container on your property for on-site access or pick it up and store it at our secure Truckee facility. When you need your belongings, we redeliver the container or move it to your new address.

Portable Storage Container Sizes And Features

Our portable storage containers are weatherproof, lockable, and built for ground-level loading. We offer more than one container size, so you match the container to the size of the job rather than paying for space you do not use. Every container locks, and you hold the key for the entire rental. The weatherproof build protects furniture, boxes, tools, and equipment from rain, snow, and mountain temperature swings. Tell us what you are storing and we will recommend the right size on your quote.

Where Your Container Is Stored

You choose where the loaded container lives. On-site storage keeps the container in your driveway or on your job site, so you reach your belongings whenever you want. Facility storage moves the container to our Truckee warehouse, which clears your property and keeps everything secure until redelivery. Many customers combine the two: on-site during a renovation, then a pickup once the work wraps. You decide, and you can change the plan mid-rental.

What Mobile Storage Is Used For

Mobile storage covers any situation that calls for temporary storage close to home, and our portable storage solutions flex to each one.

Contractor storage puts a secure, weatherproof container directly on the job site. The container locks, and it moves to the next site when the project moves. How Mobile Storage Differs From POD Loading And Warehouse Storage

Our POD loading and unloading service (POD stands for Portable On Demand storage) is labor only. You rent a container from a third-party provider, and our crew loads or unloads it for you. With mobile storage, the container is ours, and we handle delivery and pickup.

Our storage services hold your belongings inside our Truckee warehouse, and you bring your goods to the facility. Mobile storage reverses that: the container comes to you, and you load it where you live or work.
